What begins as an open-and-shut case of murder becomes a story that presents a succession of clues creating doubt and a drama of each of the juror’s prejudices, preconceptions about the trial, the accused and each other. 11 of the 12 jurors are quick to vote he is guilty; the remaining juror seems sceptical about the evidence and wants a thorough deliberation of the facts before sentencing, to prove the defendant’s guilt is beyond reasonable doubt.
