Alan Stephenson OAM will speak about the diversity of orchids found in the South Coast and how to identify these amazing plants.
Followed by Lachlan Wilmott SOS talking about saving the Kangaloon Sun Orchid which is critically endangered and only found in the Southern Highlands. We are working on better understanding of its ecology as well as creating an ex-situ population in Royal Botanical Gardens. Join us to learn more about and what we have learned so far.
Rob Armstrong SOS is a threatened species ecologist focusing on the recovery of threatened flora and ecological communities. Community involvement is central to this as Citizen Scientists have a important role in threatened species recovery. Find out ways you can contribute.
