What better way to close the door on 2021 than by raising a glass of award-winning wine in the company of Australia’s most outstanding high altitude winemakers.
Open to regions from all over Australia, the show attracts producers from the Southern Highlands, Orange, Mudgee, Tumbarumba, Hilltops, New England, Canberra District and Adelaide Hills. Now in its 11th year the winners are selected by an esteemed judging panel led by Toni Paterson MW together with Rob Geddes MW, winemaker Aaron Mercer, wine writer Paul Diamond and sommelier Ashlyn Foster.
Despite the major challenge of growing and operating conditions in recent times, more than 126 wines have been entered, in the pursuit of the coveted title of Australia’s Best Wine With Altitude. Celebrating some of Australia’s most resilient winemakers, emerging with vintages like no other, this is a big night for a wine show that recognises the best wines made with fruit grown at 500m or more above sea level.
