Biogenesis – Mothers and daughters explore shared creativity in a new exhibition at Sturt.
Join us for this beautiful exhibition celebrating the joyful creativity of these inspired mothers and daughters. Nettie Sumner creates wire and ceramic sculptures and her daughter Mercy Sumner echoes assemblages with porcelain and hand crocheted wire.
Dimity Kidston’s collection of tapestries in vintage containers are inspired by objects she’d admire at her grandmother’s house as a child. Dimity’s mother Libby Hobbs’ woven dolls with porcelain faces combine her lifelong love of fabrics and ceramics both of which have been passed on to her daughter Dimity. The exhibition runs from Sunday 5 April to 23 May.
