Ten years ago, the small village of Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands became the world’s first single-use plastic water bottled free town. Our business community committed to being socially responsible by refusing to sell what comes free from a tap, and Council came on board to support the village with the installation of free water refill stations throughout the village. At the time, this small act was revolutionary and we became world news even appearing on the front page of the New York Times. 10 years on, we are still making a difference and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our commitment as sustainable custodians of the environment, Bundanoon Earth Festival brings stalls, workshops, environmental displays, special activities for kids, food and music to celebrate. Bundanoon made a difference ten years ago, you can make a difference today. Come to Bundanoon on September 21st and see how.
