Thoroughbass presents
Our lunch-time concert takes its name from a song within Philip Glass’ collection Songs from Liquid Days. Find out what it is that is so mysterious in an empty room. A brand new work by Aspasia Nasopoulou tells the Greek tale of Io, transformed by Zeus into a calf. This piece for harpsichord was commissioned in 2018 for Diana Weston and is a world premiere.
Piano duo partners Mary&Me with singer Hester Wilson play Glass, Satie, and Kats-Chernin, Aspasia Nasopoulou, Andrew Ford and Carl Vine in a program that is quirky, engrossing and just a little bit different.
