Benjamin Lam – Violin, Dono Ng – Piano
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear the winner of the 2025 National Kendall Violin Competition, perform live in Bowral with collaborative artist Dono Ng.
Benjamin Lam is in his third year of a Bachelor of Music Performance degree under Janet Davies’s tutelage. He is a recipient of the Ted and Susan Meller Memorial Fund Scholarship and has previously studied with Goetz Richter and Sheau-Fang Low.
He was a finalist in the Sydney Conservatorium Concerto Competition 2023, 2024, Sydney Concert Orchestra Concerto Competition 2024, semi-finalist in the Sydney Eisteddfod Drs Instrumental Scholarship 2023. Ben regularly participates in AYO programs and has performed as Concertmaster for the Conservatorium orchestras.
Ching Pong (Dono) Ng was born and raised in Hong Kong. He recently completed his Bachelor’s studies with first-class Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Dr. Paul Rickard-Ford.
Ching Pong was the 3rd prize winner of the 2021/2022 Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, where he made his concerto debut in Rachmaninoff’s piano concerto no. 1 during the finals with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Johannes Fritszch.
