Highlands Music Collective Chamber Concert Flute Fancies

The Highlands Music Collective was created in 2019 by concert violinist Myee Clohessy – founding member of the esteemed Acacia Quartet and the Artistic Director of our annual Bowral Autumn Music Festival. Her dream to establish a flexible ensemble for passionate local musicians and present chamber music concerts in the Southern Highlands, was met with enthusiasm by her colleagues and friends, many of whom teach music at our local schools and perform with the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra and Southern Highlands Concert Band.

Their upcoming chamber music concert will feature serene quintets for flute and strings by Boccherini and Arthur Foote, a duet by Beethoven and quartets by Mozart and Gordon Jacob. Families are most welcome to come along as this one-hour long program is appropriate for all ages. It will be a fun, relaxed afternoon of music and mingling with friends. The ticket price includes post-concerts drinks across the road at the Burrawang Village Hotel. You may even enjoy coming earlier to eat lunch under the trees before the concert or decide to stay longer for a sunset dinner! There is nothing quite like hearing music live and celebrating with friends to invigorate and nurture the soul. We hope you will come along!
