I See: You See

I See: You See is an innovative print exchange exhibition between the Southern Highlands Printmakers and Open Bite Printmakers (Sydney). Showcasing 88 unique prints, the exhibition provides an insight into the themes engaging contemporary printmakers as they explore subjects ranging from the natural environment, personal narratives, memory, place and social justice concerns. Traditionally, print exchanges have relied on the printmaker’s capacity to reproduce an image as an edition of identical prints. I See: You See overturns this convention, inviting artists to create two unique prints; one reflecting their own practice, and a second print, responding directly to another artist’s work. In this way, I See: You See foregrounds the importance of innovation and dialogue between artists and broader communities.
