Jazz at ‘the Bowlo’ with Nana Koizumi

Bowral Bowling Club, Shepherd Street, Bowral NSW, Australia

Event Date: 14 Jul 2024, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Southern Highlands Jazz has a very special guest from Japan performing with the legendary Southern Highlands Jazz Quartet (Ren Marcon, Peter Locke, David Seidel and Josh Morgan). She is Nana Koizumi, a great trumpeter and singer, as well as a composer, educator, graphic designer, and tourism ambassador of Kashihara City. At the forefront of jazz trumpeter/vocalists in Japan, Nana Koizumi’s innate ability to deliver breath-taking performances in any musical genre continues to uplift her audiences with her beautiful tone and captivating voice.

Nana first discovered the trumpet at the age of 10. Her early exposure to music in her junior high school’s brass band inspired her to excel on the instrument and, at the age of 13, she debuted as a feature soloist at a national marching competition. Inseparable from a life with music, Nana continues to celebrate her joy of music all around the world!

The $35 ticket price ($30 for SH Jazz members, $20 for student/child) plus booking fee is for event entry only, with reserved table seating.

Food and drink is available to order at the venue. If you have any special song requests or seating preferences, please let us know when you book! Doors open from 1:00pm with the band playing from 2-5pm.

The Bowlo’s kitchen will be serving lunch from 12 noon, and you are very welcome to come early and eat in the main room before the show. Our doors will open at 1:00pm and the band will start at 2:00pm, playing through until 5:00pm.
