MIDWINTER 2023 is heating up and happening over three wicked days and nights.
We launch the festival on Friday 23 June with “First Lights – Ngununggula”, a drone light show by Fremantle Biennale with artist Kirli Saunders, celebrating the life and legacy of the late Aunty Velma Mulcahy OAM.
Saturday 24 June has day and night sessions of “Playing With Fire”, celebrating the deep chill of the Highlands through light, fire , food, music and storytelling.
On Sunday 25 June join us for an action-packed day of family and children’s activities. Meet Piccolo the Unicorn, and participate in art-making workshops with local artists Ric Abel, Rosa Fedele and Yvette Tzilaas. We also have a special performance by local school students.
Throughout the festival, we present SAVOUR THE HIGHLANDS in partnership with GROW Southern Highlands, a bespoke food and wine market featuring some of the best local restaurants, makers and producers.
FEATURING: Berrima Vault House, Birch Restaurant, Chelsea Gardens, Black Hen Kitchen, SoHi Spirits, Dawning Day, Tractorless Vineyard, Southern Highlands Brewing & MORE!
So grab your winter woollies, round up your friends and family and come to Ngununggula for a weekend of art, music, food, wine, family activities, light and fire!
