In this workshop students will take inspiration from the natural environment. Using natural ephemera such as seed and banksia pods, pinecones, lotus flowers and botanicals for inspiration, students will first create an ink drawing using bamboo pens followed by a small clay sculpture. Students will develop skills in botanical drawing such as line, texture, pattern and proportion as well as clay hand building, such as pinching, coiling and joinery.
