Retrospective Exhibition. 1965 – 2025
The first record I have of my art is at the age of 19.
I was totally immersed in the realistic depiction of objects which held me in good stead with my teachers at high school and my parents.
My first year at Art School exposed me to Cubism, Dada, Op Art, Pop Art and Abstract Expressionism.
I loved Op Art so I produced several paintings which helped me transfer from Art School to
Teachers College.
Later I took on Pop Art and had a solo exhibition in Adelaide in the early seventies.
In the mid eighties my two boys were growing up and became critical of my painting style,
so, for a couple of years I reverted to painting super realistic portraits.
In 1994 we moved to Bowral where I was moved by images of bushfires in the Blue Mountains and the horrific stories of the Belanglo Forest murders. My painting became an expression of social issues
Since then, my themes have reflected the Riots in Cronulla, Afghanistan war, Russian Ukraine
War and lately the scourge of domestic violence.
Come along and see the range of works that I have created over my creative life.
Everyone Welcome.
