After wowing our Southern Highlands Jazz audience back in June last year, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Al Davey will be returning to feature alongside our Sunday Sessions Quartet for our first gig back for 2022. Al has been a highly regarded professional trumpet player on the Sydney scene for over 30 years. Originally from Melbourne with brass band and traditional jazz roots, he studied at the Sydney Conservatorium under James Morrison, Roger Frampton, Paul McNamara and Judy Bailey.
Recognised as one of the truly versatile musicians in Sydney, Al is at home playing authentic ‘trad’ jazz, be bop and beyond, Latin, and is an established lead trumpeter in big band sections. He’s also a long-time player in the legendary Unity Hall Jazz Band.
The band will be playing from 2-5pm, with food and drink available for purchase from 1pm.
The $30 ticket price (+ $0.50 booking fee) is for event entry only. If you have any special song requests, please let us know when you book!
Doors will open from 1:00pm with food and drink available for purchase from the bar.
