Tonic – Exhibition by Jane Wray

Jane is presenting once again her visually stunning soft pastel works in her biennial exhibition at Bowral Art Gallery. ‘Tonic’ will offer around 60 pieces of Jane’s recent landscapes, still lifes, seascapes, abstracts and animal portraits; many of which have won awards in Australia and overseas in the last two years.
Jane is a keen observer of detail and light using strong mark-making to create works which are characteristically dramatic. Her chosen media is soft pastel which gives a sculptural feel to the working process and adds to the dynamism with its intense colour and textural elements.
Jane is a realist painter and has won many awards over the years, this year being accepted into the prestigious International Association of Pastel Artists Exhibition in the USA.
