The Waterbrook Landscape Prize exhibition is one of our most popular exhibitions on the BDAS calendar. Without fail, this is an outstanding exhibition of high quality and varied works. This year we have a record number of entries with over 200 works entered from artists both local and interstate with a number of new artists exhibiting with the BDAS for the first time. There are 102 finalists on show.
The exhibition is proudly sponsored by Waterbrook Resorts Bowral. Lizzie Norman, head of sales and community relations at Waterbrook along with BDAS Vice Presidents Marika Schmidhofer and Missy Jacobs, announced the prize winning artists at the official opening on Friday 3 May at 6pm. First prize $5000 and second prize is $1000. Prize money is kindly sponsored by Waterbrook Resorts Bowral.
The judge for 2024 is practising artist, Jacqueline Balassa and curator Kim Shannon.
First Prize Graham Marchant, second prize Annette Hearne, Highly commended Julie Brunton, Wayne Davis and Jan Pooley-Hibberd.
Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to select their People’s Choice Award which has been kindly donated by Ashbourne Moss Vale.
