Wearable Treasures – Sun & Moon by Savanna Caravan

Sun and Moon – Amber and Silver, is the theme of Savanna’s 2022 exhibition at BDAS. For millennia, almost since jewellery was first worn, ancient cultures have worshipped both these elements and used them extensively in their jewellery, for adornment and dowry. Amber represents fire, courage, healing, protection and grounding, while silver represents the moon, purification, tides, reflection and water. Amber and silver, and ancient rock crystal, apart from their legendary mythical properties, together and separately are incorporated in Savanna’s unique designs, to make a statement and start a conversation. Her work always draws from the treasures of distant cultures that increasingly are becoming impossible to source.

Savanna’s exhibition will run from Thursday 16th June, with opening night 5pm on Friday 17th June, daily 10am-4pm until Monday 27th June.
