Ssh! It’s on again! Jane Wray returns to Bowral District Art Society with ‘Whisperings’, her latest collection of works. Following a very successful exhibition in 2017, Jane is again bringing her alluring, contemporary realistic works to the Southern Highlands.
Focussing on the built environment, particularly cityscapes, Jane also celebrates a more encompassing landscape and still life range in the new pieces.
Wendy Sharpe has described Jane’s work as, “sensitive, skilful work at once soft and dramatic”. The simplicity of Jane’s chosen images is a base from which she adds beauty, delicacy and intricacy. There is also a strong focus on light to develop the atmospherics of this collection.
Jane is a multi-award winning pastellist and an exhibiting member of The Royal Art Society of NSW.
Exhibition is open daily 10am-4pm from October 31 – November 5. Opening night is Friday, 1st November at 6.30pm. Catered by Eschalot Restaurant, Berrima.
