Franz Liszt taught her piano. Chopin adored her and accompanied her in concerts. Brahms wrote his "Alto Rhapsody" for her and Schumann admired her.
She was famous and charismatic, an international opera star, composer, pianist of concert rank, a great actress, an artist and a voice teacher. Her life spanned most of the 19th Century and into the early part of the 20th Century. Be surprised by what music you hear and entertained by Linda Barcan, mezzo-soprano and Louise Scott, piano in a program featuring out mystery woman. Included are songs by Clara Schumann and Moss Vale's May Howlett.
