Blue Frog Farm plays an active role in the Festival Grower Association, which runs the Festival from the June winter solstice, through July until harvest-end in August. Blue Frog welcome visits by chefs and their staff, (at no cost, please contact us for an appointment) to learn about the truffle industry in Australia and the finer points of growing and harvesting truffles.

The Blue Frog Truffle Farm (or truffiere), has been harvesting black truffles (T. melanosporum) since 2007.  The farm is located just north of Canberra (5 km from the ACT border), close to the Federal Highway and was established in 2003 with the planting of just over 2 hectares of oaks and hazelnut trees.  The area was increased in 2008, with additional oaks, to approximately 4.5 hectares.

Blue Frog Farm harvests twice a week and conducts truffle hunts during the season on Sunday for groups and the for the general public, from late June until mid August.
