Centennial Vineyards is located just minutes from the historic township of Bowral in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, just over an hour south of Sydney. This premium cool climate vineyard at over 760m in altitude (in winter snow is possible) ensures grapes ripen slowly with enhanced flavour and intensity. Slow ripening together with fastidious attention to viticulture and low cropping levels, results in premium quality fruit, creating wines of elegance and distinction. Our wine has been acknowledged at wine shows, internationally and nationally, with over 330 medals won from trophy to bronze, all in our first 3 years.
Our Bowral Vineyard set over 80 acres, has earlier ripening varietals such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Gruner Veltliner, Albarino, Riesling, Pinot Noir (4 clones) and Tempranillo. Of particular importance are the traditional Champagne varieties ? Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. Our Bridge Creek Vineyard is located in the sunnier and warmer region of Orange at 850m in altitude and west-facing for good afternoon sun exposure. Dry, continental weather patterns allow us to fully ripen mid-late ripening varietals. We have old vine plantings of high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, exciting new plantings of the very rare Mencia, Rondinella & Corvina, and Pinot Noir (Abel clone), Shiraz and Viognier. The vineyard is farmed sustainably and is in the process of gaining organic certification.

The Scottish heritage in the valley and the history of "sly grog" has inspired the Jimenez family who currently own and manage Joadja Town, to establish Joadja Distillery in 2014. The Jimenez family has also tapped into their own Spanish heritage and have sourced ex-Oloroso and ex-Pedro Ximenez butts from Spain to mature their Whisky. These barrels are historically known to be the types of barrels that the Scots consider the best to mature whisky and we are lucky enough to have the Spanish language and connection to be able to source and ship them to Australia and fill them with our own Australia made natural grain spirit.
In December 2016 we will have our first barrels of Joadja Whisky ready to release, but in the meantime we have produced our new make spirit to be tasted and mixed to make some fantastic cocktails, which will be ready by November 2015. We've called it Joadja Outlaw... a throwback to the history of 'sly grog' in Joadja.
Visit the cellar door on Saturday & Sunday where you will experience how we harness nature?s ingredients to produce a truly unique Australian Whisky and have a wee tasting of our Joadja Outlaw (from November 2015) and imported Pedro Ximenez Sherry. Take a scenic drive out to Exeter in the NSW Southern Highlands and find the charming converted old dairy, now cellar door of St Maur Wines estate, nestled in among the vineyards off Old Argyle Road.
St Maur is comprised of a total of 180 acres of which 16 acres are planted to classic grape varieties.
In 1998, Nerio and his son, Marco, decided to take their passion and interest for good quality wines and started the St Maur Wines, a single estate which produces small batches. In 2003, St Maur produced it first vintage, where five years where dedicated to tending the vines.
At St Maur cellar door, you will be warmly greeted by our enthusiastic cellar master and hostess with good-old- fashioned personalised services and hand-crafted wines. Set in a rustic vintage dairy farm, and with sweeping views, you will feel like you took a step back in time as you enjoy a relaxing wine tasting experience.
St Maur has a selection of classic vinifera grapes ranging from traditional Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to Chardonnay. At the cellar door, you get a taste of St Maurs premium LOT 41 collection along with the Saint Series range, a nod to the treasured animals at St Maur.
Our grapes are harvested in mid to late autumn and prune heavily to control leaf growth, limiting the grape quantity but produces a more intensely flavoured grape. This is specifically done to help the wine maker to create a regionally distinct and vineyard expressive wine year on year.
In 2016, St Maur is proud to announce the launched our St Maur Wine Club; bringing all those who love good wine, food and conversations together under one roof. Towards the same, we have an on-site private dining room for members and their guests to enjoy longest of lunches.

The St Maur Private Dining Room is a casual space for St Maur Wine Club Members and their guests to enjoy monthly ticketed lunches, along with good wine, food and friends.
The room is for Members only to enjoy long lunches and offers an 18 seat long table alongside a French custom made fireplace to keep everyone warm during our chilly winters, all overlooking the St Maur wine wall, showcasing our premium wine collection.
Twice a year, the dining room will host complimentary lunches for St Maur Wine Club members and their guests (subject to availability), a perfect space to indulge themselves and letting the chef spoil then with an experience to remember.
The menu is designed to reflect seasonal produce from local markets and farms with a 50km radius to the St Maur Estate Farm, along with home grown vegetables from our farm garden.
The dining room also offers members a venue to celebrate special occasions, conduct master classes and host various events, such as our Bud Harvest BBQ.
Regardless of size, at St Maur we love to create a truly memorable experience for our members.

With seating for up to 160 people, a traditional barbecue area, an extensive a la carte menu, and facilities for families and children, the Bush Ranger?s Bistro has become one of the most popular places to eat and to enjoy the company of others in Berrima.
Enter the Bistro through the old stone walls and corridors of the Inn, or from the welcoming beer garden or verandah. The wall hangings and display cabinets hold memorabilia of the early days of the inn.
Cook your own steaks on the barbecue, or select from the a la carte menu. Children?s meals are also available for the Under 15?s. There are a number of rooms in which to enjoy your meal, or sit outside in the beer garden in the sun, or on the verandah.
The Bush Ranger?s Bistro caters for wedding receptions, parties, and functions up to 150 people. We also have a private dining room for 30. The Bush Ranger?s Bistro is fully licensed. Our cellar has one of the best regional lists in the Southern Highlands, including the best from the local wineries.
Drink a bit of history.
The original building had fallen into disrepair by the middle of this century, and efforts were made to preserve it. The current owners, The Durney family, have recently extensively restored and redeveloped the inn.
Their work has been recognised by the Australian Hotel Association?s Award for Excellence: Best Redeveloped Hotel ? Country, 1997 and in 2007 they won the Award for Excellence ? Best Heritage Hotel.
The Surveyor General Inn was built in 1834 for James Harper, using convict labour, and licensed as an inn in the following year. Remaining in the Harper family for almost one hundred years, The Surveyor General is the oldest continuously licensed inn in Australia. The main building, constructed of local convict-hewn sandstone and sand stock bricks, has served as both a pub and accommodation for over a century and a half.
From Cobb & Co. to today countless travellers have passed through its doors (although today, the taller may have to stoop to enter the low lintels!) ? from the Cobb & Co. passengers of last century, to the motor car travellers on the main Hume Highway south from Sydney this century, and the many visitors travelling to see the sights of historic Berrima today.
There were originally four inns at Berrima (the other original buildings still stand), but only the Surveyor General has survived as an hotel.
It was, as you can imagine, the favoured ?watering hole? for locals ? and remains so today.
