We are delighted to invite you to a truly special Italian Christmas in July Long Lunch at Exeter Vineyard on Sunday 26th July.
Gather your family and friends for a leisurely afternoon celebrating the warmth, generosity and flavours of an Italian Christmas. Inspired by traditional recipes passed down through generations and showcasing the finest local Southern Highlands produce, this is a feast designed to be shared, savoured and enjoyed with exceptional Exeter Vineyard wines.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of our sparkling wine before settling in for a long lunch that captures the heart of Italian hospitality.
Antipasto
A generous selection of locally sourced cured meats, artisan cheeses, marinated vegetables, house-made pickles, olives, warm focaccia and seasonal accompaniments, celebrating the best produce from our region.
Primo
Handmade Tortellini in Brodo
Delicate handmade tortellini filled with traditional ingredients and served in a slow-simmered, aromatic broth, just as it’s enjoyed on Christmas Day across Italy.
Secondo
Slow-Braised Rabbit with Creamy Polenta
Locally sourced rabbit, gently braised with herbs, tomatoes and red wine until beautifully tender, served over soft, creamy polenta.
Pan-Roasted Swordfish
Fresh swordfish simply prepared with lemon, garlic, herbs and extra virgin olive oil, celebrating the fresh flavours of the Mediterranean.
Contorni
Shaved Fennel, Radicchio, Blood Orange & Walnut Salad
A vibrant winter salad combining crisp fennel, bitter radicchio, sweet blood oranges and toasted walnuts with a citrus vinaigrette.
Traditional Peperonata
Slow-cooked local capsicums with vine-ripened tomatoes, sweet onions and fragrant herbs, prepared in the classic Italian style.
Dolce
Warm Panettone with Nutella & Crème Fraîche
A festive Italian favourite served warm with rich Nutella and silky crème fraîche—the perfect finish to a long Italian lunch.
Throughout the afternoon, enjoy thoughtfully paired Exeter Vineyard wines, carefully selected to complement every course and showcase the character of our vineyard and the Southern Highlands.
