Load the Brush!
This exhibition presents the work of the students of BDAS tutor of 15 years, Dave Thomas. Dave is a professional artist with an international background in the teaching of art and is a renowned portrait painter. He is particularly well known in the Southern Highlands for his outstanding portraits of international cricketers in the Cricket Hall of Fame at the Bradman Museum.
The work of Dave’s students reveals a wide range of styles with varied subject matter. The artists for the most part follow the art of traditional realism – you can expect the paintings on display will show diversity of thought that is expressed with representational images.
The exhibition encompasses Anzac Day, and is a tribute to returned service members with 33 paintings of Anzac themes on display.
