Memories and Visions
Andrew Paviour and Dale Dean met at art school and have been close friends since that time. While both have had solo exhibitions they particularly enjoy showing their work together.
Andrew’s paintings are generally figurative and are inspired by modern life.
” I find the vitality of our contemporary world a rich and varied source of visual ideas and possibilities for my paintings.”
Included in the exhibition are decorative folding screens largely inspired by Andrew’s garden in Bundanoon where he has lived since 2016.
Dale’s works, mostly on linen, are inspired by memories of living on the South Coast, Inner City Sydney and travels in Europe.
“I started embroidering when I was five years old, watching fabric cut and sewn was part of my everyday life. I have had several shows with Andrew, this is my first using fabric.”
Our works come from our memories and visions.
