Pests & Pollinators Organic Gardening Workshop at the Botanic Gardens

Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens 1 Old South Road, Bowral

Event Date: 22 Nov 2026, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Good bugs, bad bugs and the mystery of who’s been munching on your garden!

If your roses are looking a little worse for wear, something’s been nibbling on your veggie patch or you’re wondering how to keep your garden thriving without reaching for the chemicals, this workshop held at the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens in Bowral, is for you!

The team at Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens is hosting a Pests & Pollinators Organic Gardening Workshop, and it’s all about getting to know the little creatures sharing your garden (including the ones you want hanging around!).

You’ll learn how to spot common pests and plant problems, tell the garden goodies from the troublemakers and discover clever, chemical-free ways to keep unwanted visitors in check. They’ll also share practical tips on soil health, drainage, pruning and choosing the right plants for the right spots, so you can give your garden the best chance to flourish.

And because learning is always better with something delicious, the wonderful Baking Friends of the Gardens will be putting on their much-loved homemade morning tea. We’re talking freshly baked treats, barista coffee and a lovely selection of teas.

The workshop is happening on Sunday 22 November, from 10am to 12.30pm, at the Bunya Pavilion, Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens in Bowral. Tickets are $75 per person, or $70 for Financial Friends of the Gardens, with all workshop materials and morning tea included.

Places are available to book, so grab a spot and why not bring a friend, or two!
