Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival 2022 – Cancelled

Cancelled due to wet weather

Update 5 October 2022: Unfortunately due to the ongoing rain event, Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival have advised this year’s 2022 festival can no longer go ahead.

“We are incredibly disappointed to not be moving forward with this year’s Festival after all the planning and work that has gone into its organisation by our volunteer committee. We understand Moss Vale Showground’s need to cancel all events for the remainder of this year.  

The festival has become a milestone annual Southern Highlands event specifically created to showcase the best food and drinks from the region and we very much look forward to returning in 2023.   We will still be hosting our Australian Highlands Wine Show “Wines with Altitude” event and hope to be joined by many locals and visitors from Canberra and Sydney to celebrate the best of Australia’s cool climate wines,” said Southern Highlands Food & Wine Association President, Jean-Marie Simart. 

This year’s Australian Highlands Wine Show “Wines with Altitude” will proceed as planned on the evening of Friday 28 October 2022 at Southern Highlands Winery in Sutton Forest.  The only of its kind in Australia – and now entering its 12^th year, the Australian Highlands Wine Show “Wines with Altitude” event showcases and awards the best of Australia’s cool climate wines grown in vineyards at 500m or above including those from the Southern Highlands, Orange, Mudgee, New England, Tumbarumba, Hilltops, Canberra, and the Adelaide Hills.

Tickets for the Australian Highlands Wine Show “Wines with Altitude” are still available for purchase $55 + GST per person and includes entry, canapés, one glass of wine or bubbles on arrival and the chance to sample some of the winning wines in the 2022 competition.

The Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival was scheduled for Sat 29 & Sun 30 October 2022 at Moss Vale Showground with even more ways to discover our local producers, restaurants, winemakers, brewers and distillers.
