An annual pilgrimage for foodies from Canberra, Sydney and beyond, the 2022 Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival will be a whole new experience for many reasons:
- It’s in Feb ( traditionally October) because both grower and foodies can’t hold out til next Spring for this!
- It’s an alfresco extravaganza with the new format including an Avenue of Restaurants, Brewer’s Beergarden, Producers’ Marketplace, Picnic Grounds, Winemakers Walk and more.
- VIP status will also get you a Chateau d’yquem tasting for something really special!
- Salt Sessions will showcase a dozen chefs, growers and wine industry experts, from among regional food and wine ‘royalty’ to spice up the festival village
Micro-dosing with salt is just one way foodies will discover to optimise their experience of Southern Highlands produce at this year’s festival showcase.
The festival, being held on Sat 26 and Sun 27 February at Moss Vale Showground is offering a new layout to engage with local providers with a choice of ticket options. Boasting Highland vendors, restaurants, wine makers, distillers and brewers as well as bistros and a farmers market growers area.
Expect live music, covered and open air dining spaces, a VIP tent, cooking demonstrations and more. All with ample parking and transport options as well as a wine pick up service at the exits so you don’t have to carry your orders around all day.
