2024 brings change to Sunday Sessions Jazz at the Bowlo, with our first gig featuring the Unity Jazz Band starring Dan Barnett and George Washingmachine leading the line-up.
Famous for the world’s longest running residency (at the Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain), the band has featured a roll call of Sydney’s best jazz musicians for more than 50 years. With jazz players both old and young it has a wonderful combination of history mixed with young energy and talent.
Our Sunday Sessions Unity Jazz Band line-up is:
Dan Barnett – Trombone & Vocals
George Washingmachine – Violin & Vocals
Stan Valacos – Double Bass
Harry Sullivan – Piano
Graham Hilgendorf – Drums
The $30 ticket price ($20 for student/child) is for event entry only, with reserved table seating. If you have any special song requests or seating preferences, please let us know when you book!

The Bowlo’s kitchen will be serving lunch from 12 noon, and you are very welcome to come early and eat in the main room before the show. Our doors will open at 1:00pm and the band will start at 2:00pm, playing through until 5:00pm. Lunch orders will continue until 2:30pm, with a snack menu and drinks (including tea and coffee) available through the remainder of the afternoon.
