Sunday Sessions Jazz: The Wollongong Sydney All Star Big Band

SH Jazz presents a powerhouse band featuring the next generation of Australian Jazz. Two titans of Jazz education and big band leadership, Eric Dunan (former director of the Jazz Program at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music) and Saul Richardson (Director of Jazz Workshop Australia and Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra) have teamed up to assemble this band of musicians past and present. The band will play a variety of classic swing tunes from composers including Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, and Woody Herman with a bit of bebop and boogaloo thrown in for fun. Dunan and Richardson will also perform with the band.

Food and drink are available to order at the venue. If you have any special song requests or seating preferences, please let us know when you book! Doors open from 1:00pm with the band playing from 2-5pm.

The Bowlo’s kitchen will be serving lunch from 12 noon, and you are very welcome to come early and eat in the main room before the show. Our doors will open at 1:00pm and the band will start at 2:00pm, playing through until 5:00pm. Lunch orders will continue until 2:30pm, with a snack menu and drinks (including tea and coffee) available through the remainder of the afternoon.

The $35 ticket price ($30 for SH Jazz members*, $20 for student/child) plus booking fee is for event entry only, with reserved table seating.
