Tim Copes Portrait Prize 2026

The Tim Copes Portrait Prize is a bi-annual exhibition generously sponsored by The Copes Family. It’s an exhibition open to all artists, local and interstate to exhibit portraits of various interpretations, styles and mediums. Without fail, this is an outstanding exhibition of high quality and varied works. Works on show vary from hyper realist styles to wildly abstract and everything in-between. A condition of entry is that the sitter is known to the artist.
The judge for 2026 is practising artist, Oliver Watts and curator Kim Shannon. Oliver will have the challenging task of selecting the finalists and prize winners.

Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to select their People’s Choice Award.
Come and see the work for yourself and see if you agree with the judge’s choices. Remember to vote for your People’s Choice.
Official Opening & Prize Presentation Friday 11 September at 6pm.
Everyone welcome and entry to the exhibition is free.
