HIGHLANDS HIVE SHINES BRIGHT: TWILIGHT OPENING FEATURING SHOPPING, ART AND FINE FOOD.

Robertson NSW – Highlands Hive is excited to announce a TWILIGHT OPENING, an exclusive after-hours event for Highlands residents to explore the Hive, meet the business owners, and indulge in a little festive shopping.

Hive visitors often feel they are discovering secret treasures amongst the labyrinth of laneways and passageways. A string of vibrant, creative businesses line the front, with Hive Lane enticing visitors around the building to enjoy the delights of Hive Arcade, and continuing around to the western corner housing 200 square meters of art gallery and studio.

On December 1st from 4-8pm, the Hive will come alive with ten businesses welcoming visitors for an exclusive evening filled with art appreciation, boutique shopping, creativity, and community.

Here’s a sneak peek at the businesses and activities you can expect to encounter on the day:
• Spud Lane: Be captivated by a live painting experience with artist Ric Abel delivering his trademark street-art inspired style in this inspirational gallery/studio that melds industrial New York loft style with the slightly faded elegance of the Parisian salon.
• Penjing at Robertson: Green thumbs can dive into the captivating world of bonsai, and all things gardening.
• Printmaking Sisters & Le Studio 74: Gallery and Printmaking school. Discover Printmaking and try your hand at creating your own print.
• Jennings Kerr: Concludes the 2023 program with two curated group exhibitions. ‘Threads’ will explore our relationship to cloth, soft and woven based practice alongside ‘Pulped’ which focuses on various approaches to works on paper.
• Moonacres School: Offers the opportunity to learn the art and craft of food from working practitioners.
• Studio Bronwyn Berman: Discover art, hand-crafted jewellery, and sculpture created on-site by the artist herself.
• The Buzz Cafe: Come and indulge in our locally roasted HyperHyper coffee, along with a range of vegetarian and vegan delights that are sure to delight your palate.
• The Local Nest: Explore a range of homewares and local art curated to reflect the beauty of the Robertson environment, from the rainforest to the bush and that famous red clay.
• Bentley Galleries: A brand new destination designed especially for fine art enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the finer things in life, and where you might find the unexpected.
• Massage with Pan: Relax and rejuvenate with expert massage therapy that will leave you feeling revitalised and ready for more. Try a neck and shoulder massage on the night!
The Twilight opening is on Friday 1 December 2023 from 4-8pm at Highlands Hive, 74-76 Hoddle Street, Robertson NSW, next to the Big Potato.
