Wombeyan Caves is an extensive series of beautiful limestone caves, situated in a 417 hectare reserve. Accommodation ranges from unpowered camping sites to cabins and self-contained cottages.

Escape to the natural wonder of Wombeyan Caves. Set in a secluded valley and hidden amongst the rugged beauty of the Southern Highlands.

Imagine a place so ancient, that it was old before the first dinosaur walked the earth.  Over millions of years a maze of underground passages, streams and caverns has developed. Know to the Aboriginal people for tens of thousands of years, they were re-discovered by Europeans in 1828 when explorers stumbled across across a vast opening leading into the amazing depths below.

Wombeyan Caves feature vast caverns adorned with striking and delicate formations in a range of sizes, shapes and textures.  These limestone caves are both remarkable and beautiful.
Tours: A variety of guided tours, of between 1-11/2 hours in duration, are available everyday.  If you prefer a tour at your own pace…Take a leisurely stroll through Fig Tree Cave, with its automated lights and commentary, which will allow you to spend the time you need to appreciate the awe-inspiring features.

Above the underworld there a thee speculator bush walks, lookouts secluded waterfalls and a dramatic limestone gorge that is excellent for a swim in summer. 
Relaxing picnic grounds and electric BBQ with so much to see and do you can stay a while in a range of accommodation styles, from self contained cottages to ensite cabins, plus a spacious leafy campground.  There is also a well stocked kiosk.
