Please join us for a live concert performance of the German Requiem, an exhilarating and uplifting work for choir, soloists and orchestra. Composed by Johannes Brahms in 1868, the Requiem heralded his celebrated symphonic output of later years. It is a powerful musical statement of consolation and hope that has captivated audiences ever since.
Conductor Carlos Alvarado will bring to the podium his extensive experience in interpreting the Brahms repertoire in concert halls on three continents. We are excited to be sharing the stage for the first time with the Illawarra Choral Society in the recently refurbished Bowral Memorial Hall. With 90 singers on the platform together with a twenty piece professional orchestra and two acclaimed young soloists, this event is truly not to be missed!
Please note there will not be an interval in this performance.
