A participatory black-and-white street photography exhibition where visitors place 30 red dots on their favourite images, helping shape the final curatorial selection.
Explore over 100 black-and-white street photographs in this unique, work-in-progress exhibition by Hamish Ta-mé — global Ricoh ambassador (and beekeeper!). Captured during a recent sojourn in Japan, these images invite viewers into the artist’s curatorial process. Upon arrival, each guest receives 30 red dots to place on their favourite photographs. Over time, a visible cloud of red dots forms around the most resonant images — offering a collective insight into audience preferences and shared visual themes. It’s an analogue, interactive experience that brings visitors inside the decision-making process of building a final photographic exhibition.
The exhibition, held on the grounds of Retford Park, at Bowral Bowral Honey Farm where Hamish has a parallel life as a beekeeper.
