Christmas Lunch at the Loch

The Loch 581 Greenhills Road, Berrima

Event Dates:

  • 5 Dec 2021
  • 12 Dec 2021
  • 19 Dec 2021

We invite you to join us for our annual Christmas Lunch celebrations this December at The Loch Berrima. Our renowned Christmas lunch events are the perfect way to celebrate with friends and family who you won’t have the chance to see on Christmas Day. We know many of our regular customers look forward to these grand celebrations and we’re excited to host you all again.

For the final time, our Christmas celebrations will be held on the terrace with a festive three course lunch celebrating the delicious produce grown at the property’s beautiful gardens as well as local farms. Each dish has been carefully considered and planned in advance so that the ingredients, from the pickles to the berries, are ripe and ready to be served on the day. Brigid and the team have spent months planning and making sure everything down to the last strawberry has been sustainably grown with a little sprinkle of love and care. As regular guests of The Loch will know, Christmas lunch here is a big occasion and is truly a paddock to plate experience; it’s a special touch that is a unique feature of The Loch.

To kick off the festivities, guests will be served a fresh Berry Christmas Punch – there’ll be plenty to be had throughout the afternoon. Next, a generous tasting plate with a selection of sage and duck pistachio stuffed sausage rolls, smoked trout pate, crumbed brie and cranberry relish, cured local meats, dips and pickles from The Loch’s garden and fresh farmhouse bread. Then, feast on of one of our traditional Christmas mains; traditional roast Tahmoor turkey with delicious stuffing, cranberry and orange compote and roasted potatoes, or our mouth-watering 12 hour slow roast beef with pine nut crust, horseradish, Yorkshire puddings and pumpkin gratin (because we know not everyone likes turkey!) and for a vegetarian option we’ll have our delicious hand rolled pumpkin rotolo with sage fritters and tomato confit. To finish, an Aussie Christmas favourite: Pavlova full to the brim with hand-picked fresh berries grown in the gardens of The Loch with a delicate nutmeg cream. Of course, no feast is complete without a selection of Southern Highlands wines available for purchase throughout the day to complement your experience.

This is set to be a delicious Christmas Feast and a big celebration to close Brigid and Kevin’s time at The Loch and their passion for food and wine. We’re so excited to see you all again.
