Sally is a UK based Fine Artist who likes to primarily work with printmaking, photography and collage. This course covers many of Sally’s favourite techniques and approaches.
DISCOVERING PLACE – MIXED MEDIA PRINTMAKING
An intensive printmaking workshop combining markmaking techniques, media and tools to produce thoughtful, multi-layered outcomes.
The aim of this two-day workshop is to create a group of mixed media prints on paper using found objects and collected imagery to fuel and inspire ideas. We will look at ways to create both conventional and unconventional translations of your starting points. You will learn ways of combining various drawing and print media to produce expressive prints and drawings. using a host of tools, media, and approaches, including the etching press.
Techniques to be covered will include monoprint, collagraph printing and collage.
The emphasis will be on experimentation rather than producing resolved work but you will be encouraged, to take a few of your pieces to a more resolved stage.
