Tag Line: Songs without Words: A Romantic Journey | E. Ring, cello & M. Stadnik, piano
Description
In 2025, Elizabeth Ring and Maria Stadnik performed as a clarinet trio; we welcome them back in 2026 as a duo. Their program celebrates the works of Romantic composers, including Chopin, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Arensky, and Myaskovsky.
Elizabeth is a versatile cellist who combines orchestral breadth, chamber sensitivity, and a strong commitment to music education. She has performed with leading Sydney orchestral ensembles and played at Sydney venues including the Sydney Opera House. Elizabeth completed a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2024, studying with Julian Smiles. Through masterclasses, she has worked with distinguished musicians, including English cellist Matthew Barley and Axel von Huene of the Gewandhaus Orchestra.
Maria’s musical training spans Europe, the United States, and Australia. Born in Switzerland, she began piano studies in the United States, where she won gold medals at the ISSMA District and State Competitions and first prize at the 2016 Int’l Theatre Festival of Russian-Speaking Children and Youth in Washington, D.C. She attended pre-college studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, earning first prizes at the Jugend musiziert Regional, State, and National Competitions. Maria is completing a Bachelor of Music and Advanced Studies at USYD, majoring in piano.
