Exceptional Young Artists Sharing the Joy of Music.
Join us on the first Wednesday of the month when we feature Australia’s leading young artists at St Jude’s Bowral.

In March, we welcome the Orpheus Quintet, a dynamic young wind ensemble based in Sydney – Kara Thorpe (flute), Gahyun Lee (oboe), Justin Wang (clarinet), J. Lee (bassoon) and Jude Austen Kaup (French horn). This quintet brings fresh energy and artistry to one of the most beloved chamber music formats. In 2025, they were selected for the Australia Festival of Chamber Music Series International Masterclass. Festival Directors and audiences were taken by their talent, flair, and passion, and they have been named the 2026 AFCM Fellowship Ensemble.
Their program will include selections from the following works: Valerie Coleman, Red Clay and Mississippi Delta | Karl Pliss, Serenade | György Ligeti, 8 Bagatelles | Ross Edwards, Laughing Moon | Carl Nielsen, Wind Quintet, Op.43 | Astor Piazolla, Libertango (arr. for Wind Quintet).
