Fusion. A Joyful Journey

These creative friends  started painting as a group in 2001 and have regularly laughed, chattered and encouraged one another ever since.  Their styles and interests are very diverse and as a result learn and experiment together. The friendships established now extend well beyond their artistic practice which has culminated in a group show.
Their Exhibition ‘Journey of Joy’ reflects this friendship.
The group consist of;
Suzanne Ayre
Who is inspired by our native flora and fauna, working primarily with acrylics. She enjoys experimenting with painting techniques with the occasional addition of mixed media and seeing what transpires.

​Ieva Nora Knochs
Ieva works in mixed media using papers, acrylic paint, acrylic skins and found collage materials. Through colour, shape, line, pattern and texture she follows an intuitive process of play, drawing inspiration from nature, travel, landscape, history and photographs taken over the years.

Margaret Pilgrim
Margaret works with acrylics or oils and her paintings explore how memory, emotion and relationships appear in the visible world. Moving between figures, landscapes and abstraction, she uses colour, gesture and layering to blur boundaries and create atmospheric works that invite viewers to find their own associations.

Clare Macarthur Stanham
Clare works primarily in watercolour, painting still life, landscapes, seascapes and the built environment. Clare enjoys working en plein air, from her sketchbook or even the back of her car, finding inspiration in everyday scenes and the quiet still lifes of home.
