Wingecarribee Shire Council invites you to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! As we celebrate NAIDOC Week.
Come join Gundungurra Elders and Community as we launch NAIDOC week with the Flag Raising ceremony,
Exhibition opening and performance by Gadhungal Murring.
Outdoor activities from 10 am:
- Gundungurra Elders providing Welcome to Country/Raising of the Flags
- Gadhungal Murring Dancers – Performance
Indoor activities from 10.30 am:
- Official Opening/Speeches in the Theatrette
- Celebration and reflection of initiatives in the community
Refreshments from 11.15 am:
- Bush tucker morning tea provided by Earth, Seed & Fire
- Moss Vale Lions Club sponsoring Sausage Sizzle.
No need to book. Open to all community members.
Exhibition
An exhibition of artwork from Wingecarribee Shire’s First Nations community members will be on display in the Atrium at Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre from Monday 4 to Thursday 28 July. Entry is free.
The Civic Centre is located at 68 Elizabeth Street in Moss Vale.
Opening hours are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, weekdays.
