From Foal to Finish Line – Silverdale Farm, Thursday 20 November
Silverdale Farm will host an exclusive open day during Thoroughbred Week, offering visitors a behind-the- scenes look at Australia’s world-class breeding industry. The event will explain the life cycle of a thoroughbred, from foaling and early handling, through to yearling preparation and racing careers, while highlighting Silverdale’s commitment to industry education and workforce development.
Ciaron Maher Racing Facilities Tour – Bong Bong Farm, Thursday 20 November & Monday 24 November
Explore the world-class facilities at Bong Bong Farm. Watch track work, walk through the stables and enjoy a behind the scenes experience on what is involved in preparing racehorses.
Bong Bong Races Day Dozen – Bong Bong Race Track – GROW Southern Highlands, Friday 21 November

Demonstration of Young Horse Education – Thenford Farm, Saturday 22 November
Thenford Farm is a world-class equine facility specialising in early education and pre-training, rehabilitating and spelling thoroughbred racehorses. The demonstration is a condensed version of what normally takes 20 to 30 days.
This is a fulfilling experience for our visitors, showing them that we go through a no-stress process of educating the young horses.
Young Event Horse Festival – Wallaby Hill, Saturday & Sunday 6-7 December
Visit the premier equestrian venue of Wallaby Hill, showcasing thoroughbreds competing in their career after racing, open to all. Proudly Sponsored by The Loch Equine as part of National Thoroughbred week, Wallaby Hill’s Young Event Horse Festival will be showcasing thoroughbreds competing in the EvA 80 Life After Racing Class on the 6th & 7th December.
This event aims to showcase and champion thoroughbreds who have raised within the last 2 years and now have been re-homed and retrained to start a long and successful career in the olympic disciplne of eventing.
