Retford Park National Trust, 1325 Old South Road, Bowral

Event Date: 11 Apr - 17 May 2026, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Browse Nebula, an evocative exhibition where contemporary artists explore the beauty and mystery of cosmic clouds, translating the ethereal forms of interstellar gas and dust into a diverse array of stunning works.

Nebula is a feminine name of Latin origin meaning “mist,” “fog,” or “vapor.” In astronomy, this title refers to giant clouds of gas or dust in space. Nebulae come in a stunning range of shapes and colours, giving each interstellar dust cloud a unique and beautiful space. Massive, interstellar clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium, and other ionized gases located in the space between stars. They serve as both the birthplace of new stars and the remnants of dying ones.

Each artist brings a particular interpretation of the exhibition’s theme providing a rich and surprising look at the spaces that lie within these cosmic swirls. Work to be exhibited will include figurative and landscape painting, prints, drawings, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media artworks.

All artworks will be for sale and a percentage of all sales go towards supporting the work of the National Trust (NSW).

Participating Artists: Brock Sykes; Gillian Baldock; Justin Pearson; Leanne Booth; Slavica Zivkovic; Toni Warburton; Tracy Hopkirk; Wendi Toohey.
