An intensive 4-day workshop covering several printmaking techniques. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a newbie, this blitz has a blend of techniques to sharpen your skills and spark new ideas.
Annie and Robin will introduce you to printmaking’s creative potential.
Day 1: Waterless Lithography & Relief Print
- Morning: Explore waterless lithography and create 2 plates using distinct techniques.
- Afternoon: Create a relief plate using a high-density foam board.
Day 2: Aluminium Etching
- Morning: Discover etching with aluminium to create both line and tone plates.
- Afternoon: Add a colour plate that brings your final etchings to life.
Day 3: Collagraph with Matboard
- Morning: Create texture cutting, pasting, and using acrylic gel mediums on matboard.
- Afternoon: Make a plate to add colour and depth to your waterless lithograph plates.
Day 4: Drypoint with Tetra Pak & Monoprinting
- Morning: Repurpose Tetra Pak cartons into intricate drypoint plates. Etch and cut to reveal detail and texture.
- Afternoon: Explore a variety of monoprints.
Important Information
- LUNCH: We have found that a shared lunch is a lovely idea, just bring enough for 1 person to share. There is also a cafe onsite.
