James Dawson is the Senior Team Leader of the Ecosystems and Threatened Species Team for the Biodiversity
Division and Conservation in DPIE in Wollongong. James coordinates the State wide recovery program for the Spotted tailed Quoll in NSW and leads the conservation project at Barren Grounds Nature Reserve and Budderoo National Park. NSW Saving our Species is undertaking survey, monitoring and management actions at 4 priority management sites across NSW to investigate the status and conservation needs of these important populations.
James will discuss findings from the ongoing camera trap monitoring, including observations of Quoll movement, range and population turnover as well as actions that landholders and neighbours to the National Park in this area can take to help the continued presence of this spectacular animal.
