TEHO – not just any folk fiddle duo. All the way from Finland, via Port Fairy, Melbourne and Blue Mountains MusicFestival, and now in Robertson for one special night, on Monday 18 March!

Esko Järvelä and Tero Hyväluoma, both members of the legendary Frigg and many other recognised Finnish line-ups, have played together since their teens. Their seamless cooperation can be heard and seen on stage, with shows full of musical hooks, twists and turns, brilliant playing – and not forgetting the humour. Original tunes are accompanied by trad pieces from Finland and some from other Nordic countries.

Winners of the inaugural Konsta Jylhä Folk Music Competition in 2016 at Scandinavia’s longest running folk festival in Kaustinen, Teho has released two albums, most recently “Not a violin duo” in 2023.

Monday 18 March 5.30pm (doors open 5:15pm) , introduction by ABC RN’s Andrew Ford, followed by an hour of music from 6pm. Cafe will be open.
