The national park covers most of a sandstone plateau isolated by steep cliffs of the Kangaroo Valley and coastal escarpment.

Covering an area of 5 700ha, the park is located 110km south of Sydney, 25km south-east of Mittagong, on the eastern edge of the Southern Highlands Escarpment.

Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is pleased to announce that work on the Lyrebird Loop Walk is nearing completion, and the track will reopen on Monday 7th August at 9am.

The walk has been upgraded and widened, with several benches at scenic points, as well as a rain shelter. The track has also been rerouted and will take visitors through a particularly scenic section of the rainforest, featuring some impressive rock features and some of the tallest trees in the forest.

Coupled with the recent reopening of the Waterfall Walk, all our tracks will be accessible for the first time in more than a year.

Jamberoo Mountain Road has also recently reopened, providing visitors with easy access to the Southern Highlands.
