No flower, whether in a garden or as a cut flower in a vase, is as well-known and loved as the tulip. Once the most expensive flower bulb in the world, tulips continue to hold their fascination. Here in the Southern Highlands, Tulip Time heralds the arrival of Spring when the cool climate trees and plants burst into colour.
Corbett Gardens, located in central Bowral, is the home of Tulip Time, where each year the festival is held featuring tulips, entertainment and stalls.
This year’s planting designs in Corbett Gardens illustrate the them of ‘EXPLORE’. Featuring 75,000 mass planted tulips paying homage to the enigmatic tulip – its range, shape, colour and allure.
Tulips are also featured in many of the private gardens open to the public during Tulip Time and can be found HERE
Other spots to photograph tulips include the Southern Highlands Welcome Centre and Winifred West Park in Mittagong, Leighton Gardens in Moss Vale and Lions Park in Bowral.
